Pastoral Care Services is an integral part of the
health care team because of Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center's holistic approach in providing quality care in a compassionate environment. The Pastoral Care Staff ministers to the spiritual needs of the residents, their families and/or community members and to the OLW staff and employees. The Pastoral Care staff assist residents in fostering their spiritual life amidst their life changes.
By listening to their stories, a relationship of
trust is established and thus they share their feelings and concerns. It is in this time of sharing that questions arise and answers are found or if no answers arise the mystery of faith is deepened. In these moments of dialogue is found the seed of healing, as Jesus healed, by giving a listening ear and heart, the spoken word and the healing touch. Religious services are available for residents and visitors. Mass is offered daily in the Our Lady of Wisdom Chapel and many other religious services are scheduled to serve the needs of the residents. The chapel is always open for any one who wishes to make a visit.
Our Lady of Wisdom has been called a "POWER HOUSE
OF PRAYER" because of the assurance that the residents
are faithful in their response to "pray always" for
the needs of those who request Prayers. A prayer request book is available outside the Chapel and one can be assured that OLW residents and all those who attend Mass, will pray those intentions.
